Travel Bucket List

It is said that if you write down your dreams, you’re more likely to achieve them. My goals are slightly unconventional though. They aren’t as much tasks that can be completed as they are adventures that can be remembered forever. The world is huge, but that doesn’t scare me. What scares me is never seeing all of the places that I want to. For that reason, I have created a list. This list is going to change. I will cross things off and I will add things. As it changes, I know that I will also be changing, but it is my prayer that my goal will remain the same.

1. Hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

I don’t know why, but I’ve always had this fascination with the Peruvian culture. Even looking at pictures of Machu Picchu, gives me an odd sense of peace and wonder.

2. Backpack through Europe with my Best Friend

Really, I think this is everyone’s dream, or at least it should be. My best friend is one of the few people I know to be crazy enough to do something like this with me. I hope that this will be one of the first trips to get crossed off of this list!

3. Go on a safari in Tanzania

This is not a very familiar country to most people, but after watching The Bucketlist Family’s experience here, I knew that I have to go.

4. Stay at the Giraffe Hotel in Kenya

Who would not want to wake up to that cute face at their window in the morning!?

5. Walk on the salt flats in Bolivia

This is perhaps the most picturesque spot in all of South America. I would have to of course also stay in the “Salt Hotel”.

6. Release a lantern in Chiang Mai, Thailand

This has been my dream ever since I watch Tangled for the first time.

7. See the Northern Lights in Iceland

There are many places to see the Northern Lights but personally, the Blue Lagoon would be my choice.

8. Go back to the Dominican Republic

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about this beautiful girl and all of the other kiddos at the orphanage. I would give anything to go back and see them again.

9. Walk the streets of Israel

I would love to walk the historic streets that Jesus walks thousands of years ago and dive into Middle Eastern culture.

10. Go to the Cotton Castle in Turkey

This is otherwise known as the pool of Pumukkale and I refuse to believe that it is real until I see it in person.

11. Throw a dart on a map and travel wherever it lands!
